The SH-32 has pretty much the same functionality as the Edirol v7, just with 200 more programs than the v7. But you probably could have imagined that from the first sight. The SH-32 has lots of useful functions, especially for users who do not like digital equipment so much. For studio or live applications, it is good, because it features all functions, as the function keys are the same with the light device.
It has a nice pace, as you can do very easy key-breaker and low-pitch modulation without raising the volume for the software synthesizer. If the sample was clear, you can hear how the synthesizer sounds. The selection of the FX is easy and sounds good. It really is the excellent sound processing despite the high budget. The audio function is very good, as the volume controls flow smoothly, even if you have a lot of limitation.
If it was used in a live environment, the SH-32 is good both as a basic synth and a "more modern" synth, because you can use it, and you can talk and sing from there. It is good for live and working in the studio. The function keys are the same with Edirol v7.
There's no doubting that Roland Turbine and Ultraman both have respectable keyboards. But for your money, you really need to surf over to http://www.myroland.com/ and look at, let's say, the APX (Yamaha's OASIS) or the 960. And hey, if you just want to get by anyway, then you cannot go wrong with the SH-32. Considered seriously, the value for money is spectacular -- you get 200 programs on SP-1200ish terms (including Z-Plate), completely packaged, with the same function groups as the Edirol v7 (and for that matter, the very best Roland models), all in a small enclosure. d2c66b5586
